The adrenalin of snowmobiling, the mystic silence of a dog sledding excursion in
the wild, the joy of tube sliding, an amazing snowshoe excursion along with an
authentic modern days trapper… To allow you more time to take advantage of the
several free or optional activities available at the Adventure Center, we voluntarily
scheduled less activities than in our other multi-activity packages.

Day 1 – Montréal / Trois-Rives
Arrival and shuttle from the airport to the Rivière Mattawin area (clients must sometime wait for passengers traveling on other flights). Night in a 3* snowmobile relay station which features spacious rooms with cable television and private bathroom. You can also find a swimming pool, a bar and a family restaurant on the premises. (Dinner included)

Montreal City Break Option: In order to start or to conclude this active package the right way, we offer an exciting city break in the thrilling city of Montréal. The urban culture enthusiasts will indeed be delighted with this fascinating extension which allows them to discover the charms of Montréal. For additional information. he extension can be include at the beginning as well as at the end of your winter package. Depending on the chosen formula, the package will then be extended with 2 additional days and 2 additional nights. If you want to add this option to the original package, please mention it in the appropriate field of the quotation request form. |
Day 2 – Trois-Rives
You will now take advantage of a
guided snowshoeing excursion in
the heart of the Canadian forest.
You will then reach a remotely
located Voyager camp. While sipping
a glass of Caribou (Quebec’s
apperitif wine) you will be introduced
to the art of living in the wild
and will build a traditional Native
shelter. After a hearty lunch cooked
over a camp fire, you will have the
opportunity to experience ice hockey,
tube sliding and other winter
delights! (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Day 3 – Trois-Rives
(±120km)
It’s snowmobile time! After the
crossing of the majestic Saint-Maurice River, you’ll spend the day
exploring the wild territories of the
Mauricie region. Your children (6 to
12) have the opportunity to spend
an exciting day at our kids Club. Our
guides will then organized for them
a day filled with fun activities such
as winter games, comedy and
handicraft sessions, etc. Please note
that kids can also choose to rather
spend the day with you on the back
seat of your snowmobile. You’d then have to select the “one person per
snowmobile” option. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Day 4 – Trois-Rives
Get ready for some action! For those
wishing to experience the raw energy
of nature, nothing compares to a dog
sledding adventure in the wild territories
of the Saint-Maurice Valley. During
this 1/2 day experience, you will
be carried by the powerful hounds
while catching a glimpse of the ever
changing sceneries as you glide across
a winter wonderland. Your musher
(guide) will teach you the art of harnessing
the huskies and you will have
the opportunity to ride your own sled.
After dinner, you’ll be invited to a
lecture about Quebec’s sceneries and
activities.

Day 5 – Trois-Rives
Today you will first take place in a
Bombardier B12 snowmobile (12
seats) in order to explore the marvels
of the back country. You will then be
introduced to a typical Canadian activity:
ice fishing. You’ll even have the
opportunity to eat your own catches
during a hearty lunch taken in a forest
shelter. Along with an authentic trapper,
you will finally discover the fascinating
world of the wild animals during
an unforgettable snowshoeing
excursion. He’ll also teach you the
different trapping techniques. In the
evening: Wild game feast fondu dinner
including wine organized in a
rustic shelter in the heart of the forest.
You will then have access to an
authentic Native sauna and you will
have the opportunity to take part in a traditional purification session. In the
evening: Animated gathering around
a bonfire. The ideal opportunity to
discuss, to sing some traditional
sing-alongs and to learn about the
famous St. Maurice legend! (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Day 6 – Trois-Rives /
Montreal (or Quebec City - see details below)
After these four days of activities,
some of you will surely want to take
advantage of a free day to try the
several free activities available at the
Adventure Center (ice hockey,
snowshoeing, tube sliding, etc.).
However, those who have never
enough will also have the opportunity
to choose one of the following
optional activities: a day of dog
sledding (see The Esquimo), an
additional day of snowmobiling (see The Blizzard) or a day of snowmobiling
in liberty (prices on request). Tonight, you’ll take advantage
of a farewell dinner before the
transfer to Montreal. Night at the
Travelodge Hotel in standard category
or at the Roberval Hotel in outfitter
category. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included) Instead of returning to Montreal, you
can rather opt for a transfer to Quebec
City.

"Stay in Québec City" Option: Rather
than returning to Montréal on day 6, you
now have the opportunity to be transferred
in Québec City where you will also spend the
Saturday night before taking the train back to
Montréal on Sunday morning. The package
then become an 8 days / 7 nights. For more information. |
Day 7 – Montreal
Those who returned to Montreal the
night before will take advantage of
some free time to discover the city
before the airport transfer. (Breakfast included) |
