With its great historical and natural value, the Station touristique Duchesnay is a jewel of the Québec City area. It is located on the banks of the magnificent Lac Saint-Joseph and is mainly composed of an 89 km² deciduous forest. This majestic site, which until just recently was a school of forestry, combines all of these elements to turn your nature escapade into a memorable moment. It is even truer now with the arrival of the new hotel which will win you over with its country style and the way it harmonizes with the natural surroundings. Nestled atop a small hill on the banks of Lac Saint-Joseph, every room in the hotel has a magnificent view on the lake. The forest environment, the great facilities and the quality accommodations infrastructures ensure unforgettable winter stays.

Day 1 – Montreal
Rendez-vous in the thrilling and appealing city of Montreal! Second French speaking city in the world after Paris, Montreal combines old world influences with North American modernity in a very unique way. Let yourself be charmed by the romantic streets of Old Montreal and conquer its exhilarating nights! You’ll then understand why the city has been for long time known as the “Northern New Orleans”!

Day 2 to 5 – Montreal / Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier
After a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast, the moment has come to leave the big city and to continue on towards some much wilder territories. Your destination: the Duchesnay Tourist Station which represents an actual gate on Canada’s great outdoors. In winter, this is indeed the ideal place to practice a wide selection of typically Canadian winter sports. You’ll hence be in position to do some hiking on the snow, some skating, some tube sliding, some snowshoeing, some crosscountry skiing, etc.

You’ll finally live the unforgettable experience of an introduction to dog sledding. You’ll also have unlimited access to the indoor swimming pool, to the sauna, to the jacuzzi and to the fitness room.

Moreover, the restaurant at the hotel will delight the most hard to please gourmets. You’ll indeed savour the dishes which are expertly prepared by Chef Sébastien Rivard. Who said that adventure in the wild should rhyme with frugality?

To crown it all, a visit of the legendary Ice Hotel is include in your package!
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included from day 2 to 5)

Day 6 – Sainte-Catherine-dela-Jacques-Cartier / Quebec City
Your next stop is beautiful Quebec City. Rich in culture, history and beauty, Quebec City has the appearance and the atmosphere of an old-world town. Indeed, its old section has kept its historic character and a “Vieille France” charm. Moreover, the surrounding areas offer delightful landscapes. Yield to temptation of an excursion toward the spectacular Montmorency Falls and the Île d’Orleans. (Breakfast included)

Day 7 – Quebec City and/or Montreal
Additional time to visit Quebec City before heading to the airport or to return to Montreal for your return flight. (Breakfast included)

Night at the Ice Hotel available from January 4 to April 4, 2010.
