You want to escape from today’s life obligations for a while? We propose here an exhilarating package during which you’ll be free to participate to a vast number of winter activities in an exceptional natural setting. You’ll indeed stay at the legendary Sacacomie Hotel**** which offers the comfort and the rustic cachet of its fabulous log-made building. With the surrounding wide open spaces, with the frozen lakes and the wide variety of experiences and activities available, This place is definitely a dream destination to truly live Quebec’s winter!

Day 1 – Montreal / Saint-Alexis-des-Monts
Arrival and transfer from the airport to the Sacacomie Hotel (clients must sometime wait for passengers traveling on other flights). (Dinner included)

Day 2 to 5 – Saint-Alexis-des-Monts
After a good night sleep and a good breakfast, our team of organizers will inform you about the various activities to which you can participate during this week. They’ll be there as well throughout the week to explain you the technical particularities and safety precautions related to each winter activities.

The program features 3 guided activities (Half-day of snowmobiling, halfday of dog-sledding and the Trapper guided tour.) as well as several activities to do at your own pace (a traditional Indian snowshoeing excursion, country skiing in the forest and skating on a frozen pound). You’ll also beneficiate from many free times that you could use at leisure. Several other optional activities are indeed offer on the premises. You might however prefer to simply observe the beauties of the surrounding nature while relaxing close to the fireplace!
Here are additional details about some of the activities that you’ll experience:
Snowmobile:
During winter’s months, the extensive open spaces of the Mauricie wild territories are perfect for snowmobiling. Thanks to the judicious tips of your guide, you will quickly learn to appreciate the way your vehicle handles. Today you’ll ride through the Laurentian Mountains and their breathtaking scenery.
Dog sledding:
There is no way you could come to this place without trying a typical Canadian activity known as dogsledding! You are invited for a ride in the forest.
Trapper guided tour:
A guided snowshoe excursion with a trapper who will help you discover the surrounding wildlife. A brief explanation of different trapping techniques will be given, as well as an introduction to ice fishing. Eat your own fish cooked on an open wood fire, served with a glass of Caribou.
Spa Geos Les Bains:
With its 24 geothermal wells (150 meters deep) which have been dug in the granite, the Geos Spa Les Bains is surrounded by a thick forest and is overlooking the stunning Sacacomie Lake. Its mission: promoting the health of the mind and of the body. Its fabulous natural setting literally acts as a spiritual energy generator. Snowshoeing: Discover the joys of this native sport with a non guided excursion that will lead you to a panoramic viewpoint. Nights at the Hotel Sacacomie. (Breakfast and dinner included)

Day 6 – Saint-Alexis-des-Monts / Montreal
It’s unfortnunately your last day in this peaceful haven. According to your schedule of activities, it’s time for the transfer to Montreal. You’ll probably have regrets to leave this wonderful natural area, but your sadness won’t last for long because the thrilling city of Montréal awaits you with its fine restaurants, its museums, its amazing shopping possibilities and of course its rich nightlife! (Breakfast included)

Day 7 – Montreal
It will soon be the time to say goodbye! Use the afternoon to do some shopping before the transfer to the airport. (Breakfast included)

Special program on December 24:
-Gastronomical buffet dinner featuring a traditional Quebec cuisine.
-A moonlight stroll along our torch-lit path leads you to the Pavillon de l’Érablière (800 meters, 15-minute walk) where the Christmas Eve mass is celebrated at 10:30 pm.
-After the celebration, enjoy a glass of wine at the Pavillon de l’Érablière and warm up by the roaring exterior bonfire.
-When you return to the hotel, around midnight,
you will be greeted by a sweet table, filled with Quebec desserts.
-On Christmas morning, it’s the children's surprise...
and we are awaiting a secret visitor! A gift has been prepared for each of them.
