Day 2 – Trois-Rives
Get ready for some action! For those
wishing to experience the raw energy
of nature, nothing compares to a dog
sledding adventure in the wild territories
of the Saint-Maurice Valley. During
this ½ day experience, you will be
carried by the powerful hounds while
catching a glimpse of the ever changing
sceneries as you glide across a
winter wonderland. Your musher
(guide) will teach you the art of harnessing
the huskies and you will have
the opportunity to ride your own sled.
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Day 3 – Trois-Rives
(±120km)
It’s snowmobile time! After the crossing
of the majestic Saint-Maurice
River, your guide will lead you towards
a cozy forest shelter where you
will enjoy a hearty lunch in the vicinity
of the mighty Mattawin River, completely
isolated from the rest of the
civilization. While eating around a
bonfire, your guide will tell you some
stories related to the lumberjacks and
the raftmen who used to work in this section of the Saint-Maurice Wildlife
Reserve. You will then have the opportunity
to try some off-trail riding in order
to return to the main trail network.
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Day 4 – Trois-Rives (135 km)
Another day of snowmobile discoveries
in this snow paradise! Please note that
from now on you will continue to discover
the trails on your own. You will be
briefed before the departure and you’ll
receive all the relevant documents and
maps to find your way in the wide open
spaces. You’ll first ride for approximately
30 km on the frozen Saint-Maurice River,
on the edge of the famous Mauricie
National Park. You will then stop in an
authentic sugar shack for a traditional
Canadian Lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll
travel through breathtaking sceneries
while passing under tunnels of snowy
pine trees. After dinner, you’ll be invited
to a lecture about Quebec’s sceneries
and activities. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Day 5 – Trois-Rives (130 km)

in order to reach the magnificent
area of the Mékinac Lake, which means
turtle in Native language. The Canadian
cliché of the wild forests sparkled with
isolated lakes becomes a reality here!
We will then stop for lunch in a typical
snowmobile relay station before continuing
towards a spectacular belvedere
offering a breathtaking view over the
Laurentian Mountains. In the evening:
Wild meat feast organized in a rustic
shelter in the heart of the forest. You
will then have access to an authentic Native sauna and you will have the opportunity
to take part in a traditional
purification session. In the evening:
Animated gathering around a bonfire.
The ideal opportunity to discuss, to sing
some traditional sing-alongs and to learn
about the famous St. Maurice legend! (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
