Following the paths of the Trappers, those adventurers who were traveling through the wild Canadian forest during the fur trade era, come and discover the marvels of Quebec’s and Ontario’s winter! Here is a very complete self drive tour which combines the visit of Niagara Falls, Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City and Montréal to the exploration of the wild territories of the Muskoka and Mauricie regions. A wide selection of activities that will enable you to truly experience the joys of winter: one day of snowmobiling, 1/2 day of dog-sledding, wildlife watching and so much more!

Day 1 - Toronto / Niagara Falls (130 km)
Pick up your vehicle. The largest waterfalls in the world are yours to discover! You’ll be astonished by the power of the falls when you’ll live the outstanding experience of a visit behind the falls!

Day 2 and 3 – Niagara Falls / Toronto (130 km)
Rendez-vous in Canada’s financial metropolis. The “Queen city” has a lot to offer. Stroll along its seemingly never ending streets, visit the famous CN Tower, discover amazing museums and take part to some of its many cultural and sporting events. (Breakfast included on day 2 and 3)

Day 4 and 5 – Toronto / Huntsville (218 km)
The time has come to leave the very urbanized southern section of ontario and to head towards the wild territories of the famous Algonquin Park. You will then spend two fabulous days in the universe of Deerhurst, one of Ontario’s most popular luxurious resort. This is the ideal place to fully take advantage of the marvelous Muskoka region. Back at the resort, You will experience luxury and comfort with nature all around. Moreover, you will enjoy amazing evenings while taking advantage of a fresh innovative cuisine, some live entertainment and exciting nightlife! (Breakfast included on day 4)

Day 6 – Huntsville / Ottawa (339km)
You leave these wild territories and continue on towards the beautiful city of Ottawa. Discover the city’s main attractions: the parliament, the Rideau Canal, the public market, and above all, the rich museums.

Day 7 and 8 – Ottawa / Montreal (200 km)
On your way to Montreal, you will have the opportunity to admire Canada’s wild animals from very close and in the comfort of your car during a visit at the Omega Park. You’ll then continue on towards Quebec’s metropolis. Second French speaking city in the world after Paris, Montréal combines old world influences with North American modernity in a very unique way. Let yourself be charmed by the romantic streets of Old Montréal and conquer its exhilarating nights! You’ll then understand why Montreal is known as the “New Orleans of the north”! (Breakfast included on day 7 and 8 )

Day 9 to 11 – Montreal / Trois-Rives (190 km)
3 fabulous days in the heart of the Mauricie region. In this outstanding natural territory featuring the legendary Mauricie National Park as well as the Mastigouche and Saint-Maurice wildlife Reserves, you’ll live the exhilarating experience of dog sledding. During a 1/2 day experience, you will be carried by the powerful hounds while catching a glimpse of the ever changing sceneries as you glide across a winter wonderland. Your musher (guide) will teach you the art of harnessing the huskies and you will have the opportunity to ride your own sled. The following day, it’s snowmobile time! After the crossing of the majestic Saint-Maurice River, your guide will lead you towards a cozy forest shelter where you will enjoy a hearty lunch on the shores of the mighty Mattawin River. To crown it all, you’ll live a day of adventures in the heart of the Canadian forest. You will indeed first take place in a Bombardier B12 snowmobile (12 seats) in order to explore the marvels of the back country. You will then be introduced to a typical Canadian activity: ice fishing. You’ll even have the opportunity to eat your own catches during a hearty lunch taken in a forest shelter. Along with an authentic trapper, you will finally discover the fascinating world of the wild animals during an unforgettable snowshoeing excursion. He’ll also teach you the different trapping techniques. (Breakfast and dinner included on day 9 and Breakfast, lunch and dinner included on day 10 and 11)

Day 12 and 13 – Trois-Rives / Quebec City (157 km)
Welcome to the National Capital! Rich in culture, history and beauty, Quebec City has the appearance and the atmosphere of an old-world town. Indeed, its old section has kept its historic character and a “Vieille France” charm. Moreover, the surrounding areas offer delightful landscapes. Yield to temptation of an excursion towards the spectacular Montmorency Falls and the Orleans Island. Take also advantage of this opportunity to visit the famous Ice Hotel which is a gate to a huge natural territory. (Breakfast included on day 12 and 13)

Day 14 – Quebec City / Montréal (260 km)
Back to Montreal for your return flight. (Breakfast included)
