Thanks to the efforts of the environmentalists, the baby seal hunt is now forbidden in
Canada, allowing a few outdoor enthusiasts the chance to observe the fascinating
birth period on the Magdalen Island ice-barriers.

Day 1 – Cap-aux-Meules
Arrival and shuttle form the airport
to your hotel. Night at the Chateau
Madelinot or similar. (Dinner included)
Day 2 – Cap-aux-Meules
You can take advantage of this
morning to visit the Seal Interpretation
Center to learn some basic
facts about this fascinating animal.
Then, in the afternoon, take a
panoramic helicopter flight over
the ice floes where the charming
baby seals are born and nursed.
With a little luck you might even
take home a picture of yourself holding one of the darling creatures
in your arms… A unique experience!
One of the true wonders of the
world! Night at the Chateau Madelinot
or similar. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Day 3 – Cap-aux-Meules
Today is devoted to a guided tour of
the central and western parts of the
islands in the company of a local
guide. You'll visit some of the marvellous
corners of lost paradise
known only to the local island dwellers…
Following this, should you be in
the mood for still more fresh air, you
can take a short dogsled ride (OPTIONAL) or even take a second
helicopter ride (OPTIONAL)! Night at
the Chateau Madelinot or similar.
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Day 4 – Cap-aux-Meules
To round off your island adventure in
a sporty manner we propose a morning
practicing one of the archipelago's
most enjoyable winter activities
: a guided cross country ski excursion.
And don't forget to bring your
camera! Then, in the afternoon,
board the shuttle back to the airport.
