Mahikan: The wolf who fears nothing, neither other beasts, nor distance, nor cold; not even the isolation of his demesne… The journey across frozen lakes in complete silence will evoke in you the greatest feelings: those of freedom and sobriety. Come and surprise the snow partridge, the fox, the lynx, and the mahikan along the trail. Come immerse yourself in tranquillity, beauty and the grandeur of the Québecois forest…

Day 1 – Montreal
Arrival and transfer from the airport to your hotel (clients must sometime wait for passengers traveling on other flights). The guide will then give you your traveling literature. Night at the Roberval or similar.

Montreal City Break Option: In order to start or to conclude this active package the right way, we offer an exciting city break in the thrilling city of Montréal. The urban culture enthusiasts will indeed be delighted with this fascinating extension which allows them to discover the charms of Montréal. For additional information. he extension can be include at the beginning as well as at the end of your winter package. Depending on the chosen formula, the package will then be extended with 2 additional days and 2 additional nights. If you want to add this option to the original package, please mention it in the appropriate field of the quotation request form.


Day 2 – Montreal / Saguenay
In the morning, you must go to the bus or the train station for the transfer to the Saguenay region. Arrival in the afternoon. Meet the guides and explanation of activities. Night in a log-made chalet. (Breakfast and dinner included)

Day 3 – Saguenay
It’s introduction day! The morning is spent getting the sleds (gear, provisions, etc.) and dogs ready for the journey. The musher-guides explain how the trip will proceed, and pass on some of their immense store of knowledge about how to drive a dog sled, as well as the safety rules that must be respected. Once everybody is ready, we take hold of the reins and set off on the beautiful Saguenay forest trails. Return to the chalets at around 3 PM. Night in a log-made chalet (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 4 – Saguenay
We load the sleds, put the dogs back into harness and set off for the first shelter. As customary, our hearty lunches are served outside. We’ll end our day with dinner and a good night's sleep in a rustic camp. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 5 – Saguenay
Some quick preparations and we are ready for a new day, exploring the magnificent white countryside. We then spend the evening among good company, warmed by the tales of both guides and clients. Night in rustic camp. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 6 and 7 – Saguenay
Two more superb days on your dogsled, allowing you to sample the pleasures of the Quebec great outdoor. Nearly a week without telephones, radio, TV or traffic jams! Night in rustic camp on day 6 and in a log-made chalet on day 7. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included on day 6 and 7)

Day 8 – Saguenay / Montreal
Early departure in the morning to Montreal. A little time for shopping or sightseeing before the shuttle to the airport. (Breakfast included)

N.B:
-It is possible to extend the transatlantic flight until the Bagotville Airport (YBG) in Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean. The charter fare excluding Montreal- Saguenay land transportation is available upon demand.

-This package is also available in train for the same prices upon request. Don’t forget to mention it when you make your reservation. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO ADD AN EXTRA NIGHT IN MONTREAL DUE TO A LATE ARRIVAL TIME (8.15PM).

-To make sure that our customers live the most authentic experience possible, we choose, for our adventure tours, lodges and outfitters that are located in wild and remote areas. Therefore, the private bathrooms might, in some occasions, be unavailable.
