The Mauricie region is able to boast of being home to the largest concentration of black bears on earth. This foray will allow you to discover two great richeness of Canada that abound in this region: the canoe and the black bear in its natural environment.




Day 1 – St-Mathieu-du-Parc
Free day to discover the wild beauty of the Mauricie region. Take advantage of this opportunity to do some hiking or to visit some of the nearby cultural attractions. At the end of the day, you will meet your naturalist guide. After a short walk in the wood, you will access a hideout from which you will be able to safely observe black bears in their natural habitat. Don’t forget your camera! The success rate of bear watching is over 95%.

Day 2 – St-Mathieu-du-Parc
Today you will live a typically Canadian experience! You will indeed explore the magnificent Mauricie National Park during an amazing canoe excursion. The departure for this activity will be done at 5 am so you can witness the spectacular awakening of the wild nature. This is also the best time to observe the moose! You will never forget this moment! Your guide will then show you the best spots to observe wildlife. Among other things, he will show you an active beaver dam. At the end of the afternoon, continuation on your individual trip or prolongation. (Breakfast included)
