Description du forfaits

Are you dreaming of fabulous seascapes and adventure? If so, Tadoussac is definitely the place you should head to! You will be amazed by this picturesque village which lies between a thick boreal forest, the majestic Saguenay Fjord and the sea. With its bright colours, the Hotel Tadoussac looks like a huge lighthouse, built close to a nice sandy beach. The town of Tadoussac used to be an important commercial center for the first nations. With the arrival of the Europeans, it kept its commercial vocations with the whale and fur industry. French explorers such as Jacques Cartier and Samuel de Champlain stayed in the area. In the 19th century, the town rather became a luxurious resort frequented by the rich and famous. Today, its spectacular site and its sea mammals still attract the tourists as well as the scientists.

Days 1 and 2 – Tadoussac
A visit in Tadoussac wouldn’t be complete without a whale watching activity! The area where the waters of the Fjord and those of the St-Lawrence River meet is indeed one of the best in the world to observe the whales. More than 13 species, including the blue whales and the belugas gathered on this specific site from May to October. To watch this amazing phenomenon, you will have the option of boarding a comfortable ship, which was especially built for this activity, or to board a small zodiac. You will then have the opportunity to visit the Tadoussac Sea Mammals Interpretation Centre. (Breakfast included)
