| For those seeking to escape from modern life stressful pace, this Island is truly a dream destination! Just imagine: a paradise island with no shop, no bank, no traffic light (and therefore no traffic), no gas station and no bridge to link it to the rest of the world! On the program of this wonderful tour: the great maritime air, an authentic architecture, the oldest lighthouse in Quebec, unpaved roads that end in the rocky capes or in the wild roses, the majestic whales, an authentic regional cuisine and so much more! |
Day 1 – Ile Verte
Start your tour the right way with a bicycle tour of the Island. Those who come often to the Island will tell you that this is surely the best mean of transportation to discover the many jewels the island hides. In the evening, you must absolutely try the local lamb. Night in the lighthouse attendant house’s. (Dinner included)
Days 2 and 3 – Ile Verte
Take advantage of these two days to further explore this little piece of paradise. Don’t miss the Michaud School where you’ll find an interpretation center of the island’s heritage, and the famous lighthouse which have been guided the boats since 1809. You’ll find there a fascinating museum about its history. To crown it all, we suggest you strongly to visit the interesting skeletons museum where you’ll find out about the secrets that reveals the study of the skeletons of a wide variety of animals, including the whales that live in the surroundings of the island.
