| This kayak tour will lead you to the core orca territory of Johnstone Strait. Johnstone Strait is a magical glacier-carved waterway located between the northeast coast of Vancouver Island and the British Columbia mainland and it is a sea kayak touring paradise. Beside the excellent chances of observing Orca pods, there is a cornucopia of marine bird and mammal life in the region. You’ll also enjoy the exclusivity of a private island in the middle of Johnstone Strait. This is the incredible site where we’ll set up our camp site for the three nights!. |
Day 1 - Johnstone Strait
We meet in Port McNeill and head to the local dock where a motor vessel will transfer the group to base camp. The guide will then provide instruction, along with safety awareness. Once everybody is ready, the real adventure can begin! As we paddle along Johnstone Strait, we will be on the look-out for pods of killer whales. Your excitement will build as you witness the Orcas towering dorsal fin rising from the water and listen to their powerful breathing as they surface. Encountering Orcas on the water is an experience that will last a life-time. (Lunch and Dinner included)
Days 2 and 3 - Johnstone Strait
We continue our kayaking excursion throughout the core orca territory of Johnstone Strait where the whales are most commonly seen. (2 Breakfast, 2 Lunch and 2 Dinner included)
Day 4 - Johnstone Strait
We return to Port McNeill by mid-day. (Breakfast and Lunch included) |
