We create for you this unique package that will allow you to discover Western Canada in a very special way. Taking advantage of the comfort and the style that some of the most prestigious trains in the world offer, you’ll indeed see the natural wonders of the Canadian Rockies from very close. The program features the famous Rocky Mountaineer that will take you from Vancouver to Banff, and the also famous Skeena that will lead you from Prince George to Prince Rupert. You’ll then continue on by ferry to spectacular Vancouver Island.




Upon arrival at the hotel on day one, you’ll find your personalized Globe-Trotter roadbook at the front desk. This very complete package of travelling literature includes: the relevant road maps, a copy of your detailed itinerary, some useful travelling tips, the vouchers, the relevant travelling guides, a 24h/7d toll free emergency number as well as a few surprises !

Day 1 - Vancouver
Upon arrival, transfer on own to your hotel.

Day 2 - Vancouver / Banff

On these two days you will experience one of the most spectacular train journeys. On board the Rocky Mountaineer from Vancouver through the Fraser Valley to Kamloops and on to the Rocky Mountains and Banff you enjoy either RedLeaf Service (standard - with assigned seating and meals delivered to your seat) or GoldLeaf Service (deluxe - assigned seating in dome coach and gourmet meals in the dining car). (Breakfast and Lunch included) (an additional D with GoldLeaf)

From Vancouver (day 2), here are a few optional short stays that you could easily add to your package. Please refer to their duration in order to determine the number of nights each of these trips will add to the original route.

Days 3 and 4 - Banff
This day is yours to explore the charming mountain town of Banff. You might want to take the gondola up to Sulphur Mountain to enjoy the great view from the summit and soak in the Hot Springs afterwards. A visit to the Luxton Museum is also recommended. (Breakfast and Lunch inlcuded on day 3)(Breakfast included on day 4)

Day 5 - Banff / Jasper (285 km by bus)

Along spectacular Icefields Parkway you travel to Jasper today. Beautiful lakes and spectacular waterfalls and glaciers invite you to stop and admire. (Breakfast included)

Day 6 - Jasper

Day at leisure to explore Jasper National Park. An excursion to beautiful Maligne Lake is recommended where you can participate in a cruise to famous Spirit Island (optional).

Day 7 - Jasper / Prince George (376 km by train)

Past majestic Mount Robson (3954 m) you travel to Prince George aboard The Skeena.

Days 8 and 9 - Prince George / Prince Rupert (724 km by train)

The journey takes you through the beautiful valley of the Skeena River to Prince Rupert. Depending on the ferry schedule, you might have a day at leisure in Prince Rupert.

Day 10 - Prince Rupert / Port Hardy (12 km+Inside Passage-15 hours)

Today you travel the world-famous “Inside Passage”. During the 15-hours-trip there are good opportunities to watch marine wildlife.

Days 11 and 12 - Port Hardy / Victoria (584 km by bus)

Today Island Coach Lines will take you from Port Hardy to Victoria, the capital of the province.

From Port Hardy (day 11), here are a few optional short stays that you could easily add to your package. Please refer to their duration in order to determine the number of nights each of these trips will add to the original route.
