Strong’s incomparable course was carefully laid out over the rolling hills surrounding the Manoir, overlooking boldly the mighty St. Lawrence. In 1929, a golf columnist wrote that the course offered “something of an aerial view, as though one had been invited to hit balls from one cloud to another”.
