We are proud to introduce this family oriented driving vacation. This program indeed enables the families with young children (or the young at heart) to discover western Canada’s marvels while having plenty of time for funny activities. We want to make sure that the kids have as much pleasure as their parents!




Upon arrival at the hotel on day one, you’ll find your personalized Globe-Trotter roadbook at the front desk. This very complete package of travelling literature includes: the relevant road maps, a copy of your detailed itinerary, some useful travelling tips, the vouchers, the relevant travelling guides, a 24h/7d toll free emergency number as well as a few surprises !

Day 1 – Calgary
Calgary is an attractive and dynamic city situated on the banks of the Bow River and close to Alberta's majestic Rocky Mountains. The area is famous for its Stampede and the Winter Olympics it organized in 1988, but Calgary has actually much more to offer! Come and discover a bursting city which offers a wide selection of entertainments for the whole family. A visit at Heritage Historic Park will take you literally back in the Far-West era. This is the largest living historic park in Canada.

Day 2 – Calgary

Take advantage of another day to discover Calgary and its surroundings. Will you succumb to the temptation of visiting the Olympic Park, the famous Zoo or the Glenbow Museum? Some will however prefer to leave the city in order to explore the Alberta Badlands and Drumheller Valley which is often refered to as the Dinosaur Capital of the World!

Days 3 and 4 – Calgary / Banff (129 km)
Explore legendary Banff National Park. You will also have the opportunity to admire Lake Louise and Moraine or to make an excursion to Johnston Canyon. A ride along the Icefield Parkway is recommended as well. In the evening, you will live the extraordinary experience of a night safari during which, along with a naturalist guide, you’ll observe a wide variety of wild animals.

From Calgary (day 3), here are a few optional short stays that you could easily add to your package. Please refer to their duration in order to determine the number of nights each of these trips will add to the original route.

Days 5 and 6 – Banff / Jasper (290 km)
Discover Jasper! Those wishing to live an extraordinary mountain and nature experience are definitely at the right address! The surroundings of this charming city are characterized by pristine nature, snow capped mountains and majestic lakes! Open your eyes widely because the odds of seeing grizzly bears, wolves, elks or mountain goats are excellent! You will also live an exhilarating experience during a white water rafting activity on the mighty waters of the legendary Athabasca River.

Day 7 – Jasper / Clearwater (320 km)
Your destination: Wells Gray Park which is famous for its spectacular falls, its outstanding fauna and its numerous hiking trails.

Days 8 and 9 – Clearwater / Lytton (291 km)
Continue on towards Lytton where you’ll live an amazing adventure which combines an exhilarating white water rafting experience to a relaxing stay in an outstanding resort. The legendary Thompson River is indeed on of BC’s favourite and for good reason. It features more than 25 unforgettable rapids! After all this action, you’ll be glad to spend the next day relaxing while taking advantage of the resort amenities. You’ll stay in a luxurious white canvas tent cabin which is fully furnished with antiques and 2 double beds (covered in cosy duvets) and built with wooden floor. You’ll then be in position to simply relax by the pool or in the outdoor hot tub while enjoying the breathtaking view overt the spectacular White Canyon setting. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included on day 9)

Days 10 and 11 – Lytton / Whistler (193 km)
Whistler is a natural playground with its crisp mountain air, crystal clear lakes and lush emerald forests. There's something to do here every day whether it's a thrilling adventure or just some quiet time listening to nature and absorbing the magnificent scenery. The pedestrian International village will also satisfy your every desire with more than 200 shops and 90 restaurants! You will also live the exhilarating experience of a visit at the Ziptrek Ecotours adventure Centre which is located in a magnificent ancient rain forest. (Breakfast and Lunch included on day 10)

From Lac la Hache (day 10), here are a few optional short stays that you could easily add to your package. Please refer to their duration in order to determine the number of nights each of these trips will add to the original route.

Days 12 to 14 – Whistler / Vancouver (125 km)
Discover Vancouver! Its outstanding location between mountains and ocean definitely makes this city one of the most beautiful in the world. Explore its main attractions and let yourself be immersed by its relaxed west-coast atmosphere. You will then board a speed boat which will take you for a fabulous whale watching excursion . To crown it all, you’ll be amazed by your visit at the famous Vancouver Aquarium!
