A wonderful itinerary which give you the opportunity to discover some of the highlights of Quebec and Atlantic Canada. From Montreal to Moncton, here is a driving vacation that will surely fill your highest expectations! Those territories are characterized from one part by a fascinating history in which the cultural heritages of the French, the Acadians, the Natives and the Loyalists mix in a very unique way, and on another part by the omnipresence of the sea that has shaped the nature in such a spectacular fashion!




Upon arrival at the hotel on day one, you’ll find your personalized Globe-Trotter roadbook at the front desk. This very complete package of travelling literature includes: the relevant road maps, a copy of your detailed itinerary, some useful travelling tips, the vouchers, the relevant travelling guides, a 24h/7d toll free emergency number as well as a few surprises !

Day 1 – Montreal
Pick-up your vehicle and rendez-vous in the thrilling and appealing city of Montreal.

Day 2 – Montreal / Rivière du Loup (425 km)

The drive leads you along the south shore of the St-Lawrence River up to Rivière du Loup (Breakfast included)

From Montreal (day 2), here are a few optional short stays that you could easily add to your package. Please refer to their duration in order to determine the number of nights each of these trips will add to the original route.

Day 3 - Rivière du Loup / Fredericton (395 km)
Welcome in New Brunswick. During your stay in Fredericton, the provincial capital of New Brunswick, we suggest strongly that you make a little detour towards the Loyalist historical village of Kings Landing.

Days 4 and 5 – Fredericton / Moncton (180 km)
Take advantage of these two days to discover the Fundy National Park. You will also have the opportunity to visit Shediac and the Magnetic Hill. A visit in this region will not be complete without the famous Hopewell Rocks which are literally sculpted by the highest tides in the world.

From St-John (day 5), here are a few optional short stays that you could easily add to your package. Please refer to their duration in order to determine the number of nights each of these trips will add to the original route.

Day 6 – Moncton / Bouctouche (56 km)
The drive now leads you along the scenic Acadian Coast which is sprinkled with several quaint fishermen villages. Your destination: Bouctouche, an ecological paradise featuring magnificent sandy beaches and one of the last great dunes on the East Coast.

Day 7 – Bouctouche / Miramichi (87 km)
Rendez-vous in Miramichi, a charming town located on the shores of a salmon river. (Breakfast included)

Days 8 and 9 – Miramichi / Caraquet (108 km)
On your way to Caraquet, you will visit the Acadian Historical Village who strives to portray the lives of Acadians between 1770 and 1939. You will also have the chance to Visit the largest public aquarium in the Atlantic provinces and see all the wonders of marine life of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Observe more than 100 species of fish and invertebrates. (Breakfast included)

Day 10 – Caraquet / Carleton (185 km)
Back in Quebec, towards the Baie des Chaleurs.

Days 11 and 12 – Carleton / Percé (190 km)
Continue on towards Percé, a charming town located near the legendary Rock. It’s also an excellent starting point for an excursion in the birdwatchers paradise that is the Bonaventure Island. Take also advantage of Percé’s rich cultural life.

Day 13 - Percé / Matane (350 km)
A wonderful scenic drive along the Gaspesie rocky coast will lead you to Matane. You can explore the marvels of the Forillon National Park.

Day 14 – Matane / Tadoussac (210 km + ferry)
Board the ferry from Matane to cross the St-Lawrence River to the North-Shore. Tadoussac, maybe the best place in the world to observe the whales and the belugas awaits you!

Days 15 and 16 – Tadoussac / Quebec City (214 km)
Rich in culture, history and beauty, Quebec City has the appearance and the atmosphere of an old-world town. Indeed, its old section has kept its historic character and a “Vieille France” charm. Moreover, the surrounding areas offer delightful landscapes. Yield to temptation of an excursion toward the spectacular Montmorency Falls and the Île d’Orleans. (Breakfast included on day 16)

Day 17 – Quebec City / Montreal (260 km)
Drop-off your vehicle. (Breakfast included)

TIP: Please note that these prices include a pick up directly at the airport. Considering how expensive taxi transfer can be and the fact that you'll only have to park your vehicle in downtown (city centre) the first night, we truly belive that it's the easiest way to proceed. If for whatever reason you would like to proceed otherwise by rather piking-up the car in a downtown location on day 2, we'd be more than happy to quote it for you.
