1- Reservation

1.1- PAYMENT :

For all our packages and services (Driving vacations, short stays, escorted tours, excursions, accommodation...) except for Car and Motorhome rental (see below) : When you book your vacation, a deposit of 20% of the total amount of the package is required to confirm your reservation ( non refundable). The balance is payable 30 days before your arrival. This condition is not valid if our providers have different terms. You will be informed during your reservation.

Car rental: The total amount (100%) is required to confirm your car rental reservation.

Motorhome rental: A 300 $ CDN deposit is required to confirm your reservation and the balance is payable 30 days before your arrival.

 

1.2-PROCEDURE FOR RESERVING YOUR TRAVEL:

    #1 : Once your program is selected, contact us with your request through our Website (electronic request form, email, "free return phone call" service, telephone...). Tailor made programs are available on request.
    #2 : Within 24 hours, one of our specialists will get back to you with a clear proposition and detailed quote according to your expectations.
    #3 : If you want to make any changes to your vacation package, our specialists will be pleased to adjust your itinerary as you want. If you are satisfied with the proposition, you can confirm your reservation immediately by making a deposit by credit card.
    #4 : Upon reception of your deposit, we will reserve your vacation. We will send you a bill with your confirmation number.
    #5 : The balance due must be paid according to the conditions listed on point 1.1

Secure transaction for our customers
As a Canadian Travel Agent registered with the Business Practices & Consumer Protection Authority (permit #702250), Globe Trotter Aventure Canada is required by law to place all customer money in a Trust account until departure from Canada. This protection means that customers can proceed with confidence when booking their vacation with a reliable and secure busines.

 
2- Cancellation
2.1 Should GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA have to cancel a trip, all amounts paid by the client will be reimbursed, without penalty.

2.2 Should a client have to cancel all or part of a trip, the client will be subject to a cancellation penalty as follows:

  • 45 days or more before departure: 15% of THE TOTAL VALUE OF YOUR PACKAGE
  • 30 - 15 days before departure: 50% of THE TOTAL VALUE OF YOUR PACKAGE
  • Less than 15 days before departure: 100% of THE TOTAL VALUE OF YOUR PACKAGE

2.3 The cancellation delay is established as the day on which Globe Trotter Aventure Canada receive a written cancellation notice t our office. No verbal request for cancellation will be considered. When determining the cancellation fee applicable, the actual departure day will not be counted.

 
3- Travel modifications
At any time before departure, you may change your vacation by adding activities or by extending the length of stay; such changes must increase the value of the vacation. A 50$ amendment fee per person could apply and will be due. Please note that GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADAcannot guarantee changes if they are requested within 45 days of departure. A client wishing to make changes resulting in a decrease in the total value of the vacation, will be subject to a cancellation penalty as listed in section 2.2, in addition to the amendment fee of $50 per person.
 
4- Services not used during your travel
There will be no refunds for unused services.
 
5- Insurances
You are strongly advised to take out personal travel insurance covering medical costs and hospitalisation, repatriation costs, loss of baggage, etc. GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA also recommends taking out cancellation insurance; this covers cancellation charges under certain conditions and circumstances. It is the client's responsability to ensure adequate insurance coverage. GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA cannot be held responsible for a client's lack of insurance or for any refused insurance claim. 6- Indicated prices
Unless otherwise indicated, all prices are given in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include all applicable taxes. The prices may be adjusted to reflect changes in transportation costs, accommodation prices, taxes or other local charges. Nevertheless, GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA guaranties all price changes will not apply if full payment has already been received. When prices are indicated in another devise than Canadian dollars (CAD) they are given as an indication and GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA can not be responsible for the exchange rate.
 
7- Accommodation, tours and excursions

GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA reserves the right to replace accommodation (hotel, inn, Bed & Breakfast or camping) with other accommodation of equal or superiour value.

All of the tours and excursions offered in the various vacation packages were available at the time of creating the present Wesite. Should changes arise before the date of departure (such as the opening dates and hours of museums or theme parks), any planned activity could be rescheduled, or cancelled and replaced with a comparable activity of equal value. Any such changes must be agreed by the client and his/her travel agent.

GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA reserves the right to modify any itinerary, if it is deemed necessary or advantageous to the interest or welfare of its clients who will be informed without any delays.

 
8- Responsibilities

8.1 GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA acts as an agent for transport companies, service providers, hotels and other contractors required for the organization of the vacations listed on our Website. GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA's role is limited to making reservations with these service providers. Having no direct control over these organizations, GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA cannot be held liable for the failure of such an organization to provide the service described, with the exception of errors or failures resulting directly from acts or omissions of direct employees of Globe Trotter Aventue Canada.

8.2 GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA shall not be held liable for any claims, damages or expenses resulting from bodily harm, accident, death, damage to or loss of personal belongings, delay, missed connection, inclement weather, strike, act of terrorism, war, or any other cause that could not be predicted at the time of departure, or from the failure of the client to obtain the required documents (passport, visa,...) for the trip. Luggage is transported at the client's risk.

8.3 The client must comply with all reasonable requests pertaining to the vacation package. Should a client exhibit behaviour detrimental to the group or to a service provider, and should he/she persist in this behaviour after an official warning from the travel agent, representative or guide, the client will be ordered to leave the group, without recourse to any refund. The client will be entirely responsible for any penalties resulting from his actions, as well as for all extra expenses incurred (accommodation, meals and return transport). If a client is excluded, the travel agent will not refund any amount paid by this traveller.

8.4 Any complaints must be sent in writing directly to GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA, within 14 days after the end of the tour.

8.4 In the case of fault, error or omission on the part of GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA resulting in failure to provide a service or benefit described n our Website, our responsability is strictly limited to the value of the service or benefit in question.

 
9- Jurisdiction
The present document must be interpreted according to the laws applicable in the province of Quebec. Any dispute must be presented before the court of the Province of Quebec, district of Montreal, to the exclusion of any other jurisdiction. The voiding in part or whole of any clause of the present document will not affect the validity of the remaining clauses.
 
10- Rights protection
Different laws protect this website content. Any reproduction, publication or distribution of the contents, in part or in totality, is strictly forbidden without a written authorisation from GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA. Any use of the content above will expose the offender to legal proceedings.
 
11- Confidentiality
GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA will ensure that your confidentiality will be protected while using our website. We inform you about our security measures, our information collection policy when you are making a reservation, the reasons why this information is collected as well as the treatment done.
 
12- Security
GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA implements security measures in order to protect you from eventual loss or forbidden use of inforation about customers kept by our company, in particular relating to credit cards. GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA’s servers use high technology in terms of information transfer (Secure Socket Layer). It turns the information transfer extremely secure. In addition, GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA’s servers are protected by firewalls. Nevertheless, any security systems is perfect and please keep in mind it will always remain some risks for the information passing through or website to be disclosed, for uncontrolled reasons. GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA declines any responsibility regarding the information disclosed. Please note that for security reasons, any credit card information is kept on our servers.

GLOBE-TROTTER AVENTURE CANADA administers the website. The terms and conditions listed represent a contract between you and our company.
